A journey to the heart of guaraní tradition
Immersing yourself in the Esteros del Iberá is like diving into a vast horizon, where grasslands and reeds create a landscape that seems to stretch into infinity. This unique journey, which takes place at Portal Carambola in Concepción, Corrientes, leads us through one of the richest and most diverse ecosystems in the world, where nature reveals itself in its fullest expression. Over 3 nights and 4 days, the Iberá journey invites us to explore these lands on horseback, crossing marshy areas and navigating lagoons and wetlands by canoe, following routes that have been traveled by generations.

A Deep Immersion in Guaraní Culture and Tradition
The Esteros del Iberá are not just a destination of incomparable natural beauty; they are also an example of conservation and sustainability. This journey is framed within the conceptual path of the Rewilding Foundation, a collaboration aimed at protecting and preserving the natural wealth of one of the world’s largest aquifers and one of the most important fauna and flora reserves. Through this alliance, the goal is not only to enjoy the surroundings but also to contribute to their conservation, ensuring that future generations can experience the same natural wonder.
The Iberá journey is not a conventional tourist itinerary; it is an opportunity to connect with the most authentic essence of the Corrientes landscape. Here, nature is not only observed — it is lived, breathed, and felt in every corner. This trip allows us to disconnect from routine and reconnect with what really matters, in an environment where time seems to stand still and life flows with a serenity that only the Esteros del Iberá can offer.
How to get there
You have 3 options to get here:
1) Travel by car to the city of Concepción, located 946 km from Buenos Aires.
2) Take a bus to Santa Rosa (preferably, where we will pick you up) or to Saladas and then hire a transfer from there (87 km).
3) Fly to Corrientes capital airport. We can help you with transfer information to reach Concepción (183 km).
What to bring
The journey includes complete logistics and common equipment provided by the organization, designed to ensure the trip runs smoothly in pure natural conditions. We supply all meals and drinks (with and without alcohol), breakfasts, snacks,and the complete set of communal gear:Below is the list of personal items each participant must bring to enjoy the experience comfortably and safely.
You will need:
§ Clothing: 2 pairs of field pants (bombachas), 2 long-sleeved shirts, 2 short-sleeved t-shirts, 2 pairs of socks, swimsuit, sweaters/hoodie/jacket or poncho (depending on the weather), hat, water shorts.
§ Footwear: 2 pairs of alpargatas (espadrilles).
§ Weather: Rain poncho (it is very likely we will get wet).
§ Rest and hygiene: Sleeping bag, towel, personal toiletries, first-aid kit with your personal medications.
§ Personal care: Insect repellent, sunscreen, lip balm, and moisturizing cream.
§ Hydration: Reusable water bottle.
Where is
Frequent questions
No, it is not necessary. We have different horses and we select them based on
experience. For inexperienced riders or children we also have
well-trained and gentle horses.
Yes, we have trips for families. Depending on the children's ages and their riding experience, we offer shorter or longer excursions.

We provide saddlebags for you to carry your personal belongings on the trip. We can provide a sleeping bag at an additional cost.
